“Stellar performance, as Scott makes a career best at Phillip Island”

Glenn Scott has ridden the race of his life as he takes his best ever finish of 12th, on the World Stage at the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Starting from 20th on the grid, Scott made an impressive start, gaining 4 positions, putting him in 16th at the end of lap 1.

After having a slow start to the weekend, Scott and Team Lorini produced a 1:34.3 in their warm-up session on Sunday morning, putting him in 8th position for that session.

“Being able to find 8 tenths of a second in our warm-up session was such a great confidence booster, and really showed that I have what it takes to be in the mix with all these great riders”.

When the right setting was found for the race, Scott knew that he was capable of finishing in the points. After battling it out in wet and dry conditions to get to 13th, Scott then moved to 10th, but was slip streamed in the straight on the last lap and ended the race in 12th.

“I am overwhelmed with today’s result, both my team and I took small steps forward all weekend and we have started the season strong. The mixed conditions in the race certainly made it exciting and I am happy to mix it with the top ten and prove that we can arrive to a good result from here on, Massive thank you to my team for their hard work and a big thank you to all my sponsors”.

Round 2 will be held in Thailand, 11th-13th March.
