Glenn Training

Beach training, cycling, cardio workouts and positive reinforcement are all thanks to Anthony's encouragement.

There are three elements of training for Motor Bike Racing

1) Physical

2) Technical

3) Mental

1) Physical Training

Physical training is very important and involves three main areas a bike rider needs to develop:

Glenn Training

Cardiovascular training involves running, cycling and skipping. These activities are able to be undertaken in the gym. At times, however, I like to cycle and run outside.

Flexibility training involves large amounts of stretching. I usually stretch in the gym.

Strength training involves exercising to strengthen the upper body and abdomen. The strength exercises are carried out in the gym. They include push ups, chin ups and sit ups.

2) Technical Training

Technical training involves riding the motor bike and understanding the various circuits:

Glenn TrainingGP 125 circuits include Albcete, Jerez, Valencia and Catalunya

Motocross and dirt track circuits include Vallgorguina, Santa Coloma de Farners, Castelloli, Martorelles

Supermotard circuits include Vic, Sallent, Castelloli, el Vendrel

These different types of riding are classified as technical training. Riding the motor bike is also a big part of physical training for strength and cardiovascular.

3) Mental Training

Mental training is able to be completed in the gym when engaging in physical and technical training.  This involves developing positive thoughts, self-belief and increasing individual motivation to focus on the task at hand. Being focused enables you to train to the best of your ability.
